About MagicLess and How Its Guides Are Checked

MagicLess is a Chrome extension that reads recent login emails — one-time codes and magic sign-in links — from a Gmail account you explicitly connect, and surfaces them on the page that asked for them. It doesn't open your inbox for you and it doesn't submit forms on your behalf.

Who runs this

MagicLess is an organization, not an individual writer or reviewer. Guides, comparison pages, and the provider-code directory are published under the MagicLess byline, not a personal name.

How the guides are researched

Every guide and comparison page on this site ends with a claim ledger: each factual claim in the page is listed next to the primary source it came from (a provider's own help page, a standards document such as NIST SP 800-63B, or a competitor's own pricing or Chrome Web Store listing) and the date that source was checked. Claims we can't verify against a primary source are marked as such or left out, rather than guessed. Comparison pages are checked again on the "next review" date shown in their ledger.

Reporting a correction

If a claim, a date, or a provider detail on this site is wrong or out of date, email jimmy@magicless.io with the page URL and what looks wrong. We check it against the primary source and correct the page and its claim ledger.
